Featured in the photos is a stunning large chests of drawers, circa 1930’s, that has been professionally upcycled by Boho Bard. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this style of drawers before and they really do not make them like this anymore. Featuring five deep drawers with dovetail joints they are heavy and sturdy with all drawers in good running order.

The design is a sympathetic and stylish edit from the original copperplate image depicting ‘The Fall of Icarus’ by French Artist, Bernard Picart. We have added some colour for our interpretation and the ‘splash’ of yellow represents the sun and wax melting on Icarus’ wings, which ultimately lead to his fall. The body of the chest is hand painted with an opulent cobalt blue and the trim and legs have been finished with distressed gold leaf. The handles have received a distressed gold finish to complete the look.
