Executive Desk By Baker Bedford, Large Black Indonesian Mahogony.
A large desk from the 1990s made by Baker Bedford from the Normandie range. This very well made substantial large desk is made from Indonesian mahogony from managed forests where timber is grown specifically for furniture production. The desk has a large working surface area with a gently bowed front and stands on a good strong shaped plinth. All the drawers are slightly curved to fit around the gentle bowed shape and there are three hidden drawers along the top of the piece without handles. There are then three further deep drawers to each side, all in perfect condition with dovetailed drawers and all running smoothly. The drawers have a metal handle with a square bronze back plate and drop pull. The bronze handles compliment the bronze coloured studs on the edges of the drawers and desk panels.
The whole piece has been professionally painted in a black durable VOC and toxin free mineral paint then finished with a clear flat soft wax for extra durability and effect, with the small studded areas coloured bronze. The natural wood areas inside the drawers have been nourished with a natural hemp oil.

Mid Century Desk By William Lawrence, Blue Retro Style 1960s
A desk from the 1960s mid century made by iconic British furniture makers William Lawrence of Nottingham. Being low, sleek and wide this very cool retro desk has sleigh legs that’s wrap around from the front to the back of the piece. Each side has two drawers, the top one being smaller with hidden opener, then a deeper drawer with a front wooden cup handle.
Please be aware that because of the design of the sleigh legs wrapping around the piece, the desk will not sit entirely flush to a back wall, as can be seen on the photos.
The whole piece has been professionally painted in a blue durable VOC and toxin free mineral paint, with some bronze retro stripes on the top drawers,then finished with a a flat clear wax for extra durability and effect.
