Wardrobe, Coat Cupboard, Hall Robe, Hallway Shoe Storage
A wardrobe, coat cupboard, shoe and hallway storage from the 1960’s mid century by iconic British furniture makers Lebus. The central door which has a key and working lock opens with the original bronze coloured handle to reveal to the left side a full height hanging rail perfect for outdoor long coats and jackets. To the right side there are three shelves fitted allowing for space to store shoes, hats, or bags. The wardrobe sits on the original mid century tapered legs lifting it off the ground and adding to the retro style.
The whole piece has been professionally painted in a durable VOC and toxin free mineral paint then finished with a flat clear wax for extra durability and effect. The inside colour is a retro green, the outside is blue.
The door has been stripped to reveal a pleasing wood grain with a retro stripe pattern added in blue and bronze. This has then been sealed with a clear natural hard wax oil which is durable.Measuring…

Wardrobe, Armoire, Coat Cupboard, Hall Robe, 1950s Vintage
A large wardrobe, armoire, coat cupboard from the 1950s mid century, perfect as a wow factor in a hallway for coats shoes and bag storage. Beautifully shaped this substantial and well made piece made from tiger oak stands on six bun feet with a central single door. There are pleasing carvings to the front top and sides, and inside there is a useful shelf providing ample storage. A black metal pole fits the full width allowing for lots of hanging space (at a slight angle due to the shape of the wardrobe sides). The door opens and closes with the key which fits the working lock.
The whole piece has been professionally painted in a VOC and toxin free mineral paint, then sealed with a clear matt soft wax for extra durability and effect. The outside of the piece is blue and the inside taupe. The central door has been sanded back to reveal the beautiful tiger oak wood grain, with several coats of a clear matt hard wax oil to seal.
