Off Black Sideboard with Linen Fold design, and Morris wallpaper decoupage.

Vintage oak sideboard painted off black, and decoupaged with Pure Morris wallpaper.

Originally the base section of a Welsh Dresser, this oak sideboard has been refinished to create a statement sideboard. After thorough cleaning and preparation, it has been painted an off black (Ash from Fusion Mineral Paint). From the front you see the linen fold carved design to the door fronts. The end panels of the sideboard, and the interior of the doors, have been decoupaged with Morris & Co wallpaper in the design Lodden in the colour Charcoal / Gold. This paper is from the Pure Morris collection described as “lighter and brighter renditions of the iconic classics”. To finish several coats of Satin varnish have been applied for protection and to add a beautiful sheen.

This 2 drawer, 2 door sideboard offers plenty of storage space, and is both useful and beautiful. The drawers run smoothly. The lower cupboard has a single fixed shelf. The interior wood has been replenished with orange oil.
Would look great in a hallway, sitting room or dining room.

This is a refinished vintage item, and may show some signs of wear commensurate with it’s age. That said, overall this piece is in very good condition.
